At the end of the summer of 2010 I wrote an alliterated verse based on the letter L, just for fun and practice – something like:
A lone, lean leopard lay low on large, lavender leaves and lustfully licked a lifeless lizard’s left loin.
Intrigued by the verse’s flow and inspired by its blunt imagery, I next wrote an S-verse about a snooty swine. A few hours later I finished the first version of the first scindial Lean Leopard, which next took me a myriad of minutes to sculpt into its current shape.
Driven by tremendous joy, nine more scindials saw the light sometime between Aug-2010 and Feb-2011. Two of the scindials, including the Leopard, are showcased on this site.
Please note that:
- Scindial is an acronym for Scenes In Dirty Alliterations – wherein Dirty solely refers to the inconsistent application of a verse’s leading initial;
- The scindial featuring Henry depicts a memorable moment of my life;
- The scindials showcased on this site have not been edited by a professional nor have they been craftily critiqued.
