 The Recipe

What if the FBI asks you to participate in the investigation of a former chef turned gambler? Would you believe the Feds’ claim that the gambler deals in high-tech weaponry in order to pay off his gambling debts? Or, would you consider the possibility that the gambler is selling a mere piece of paper: a recipe?

In ‘The Recipe’, Bill Rankon, an undercover agent for Army Intelligence, assists the FBI with the surveillance of a gambler who is suspected of trying to sell the blueprints of a laser canon. In the course of a few days Rankon is confronted with loan sharks, the shady associates of the regional manager of food multinational Tin Foods, and the tenants of a social worker: a priest and a car salesman. It does not take him long to figure out he is investigating a bunch of amateurs. By then, a chain of events has been set in motion that ends in casualties on all sides.
